Out Of The Box is an exciting festival for children 8 years and under, held at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). There are 8 days (June 25-July 2) of activities celebrating the importance of arts in education. My children enjoyed their experiences over the years we attended. Your children can be involved in storytelling and working with illustrators, and these activities are the free. Make sure you participate in, ‘Letters Alive’ and the ‘Illustration and Alliteration Workshop’. There are also performances at the Lyric Theatre, specially tailored to the under 8’s. ‘The Incredible Book Eating Boy’, is a performance worth seeing.
