This is a fun way to reinforce counting to 100 in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. Flying number bugs are dropped into a caterpillar’s mouth, which on completion turns from a caterpillar into a butterfly. Beautiful graphics and cute sound effects make this an entertaining way to practise counting.

This app provides kids with a fun way to practise basic addition and subtraction facts. There are 6 levels, with 18 addition levels covering single and double digits. There are in app purchases for another addition level, 2 subtraction and negative levels. The challenge is to feed the fish, by swiping together numbers to match the answer on the fish.The recommended ages are 9-11yrs, however I’ve experienced yr 1’s successfully using this app.

What’s Good About It:
Have you ever wanted to touch the exhibits in a museum? The Science Museum in London is world renowned for its historic collections.This app allows you to play with an array of historical items from the museum, as well as learn about the history of each object. Look at the first Apple Computer or encode a secret message with a World War II Enigma Machine. The Guardian newspaper in London rates this app as ‘….a marvellous, marvellous app.’ It is not cheap, however on further exploration you will understand the cost. If you or anyone in the family enjoys exploring historical items, then this app is for you.
